I found a new way to blog utilizing the web app reQall.
ReQall provides is a voicemail reminder service. I call the unique phone number whenever I “recall” a task I need to do and leave myself a message. ReQall transcribes my message and sends it to my Inbox. The next time I am online (where my to-do list lives), I’ll add this task to the list. It’s a convenient way of making sure ideas that pop into my head get captured and acted on.
Recently, I had the idea to take it a step further. I was driving home and had the idea for a blog post. I didn’t want to lose it, but couldn’t write it down. That’s when I called reQall to leave myself a reminder to write the post.
Then it dawned on me I could actually verbally orate the blog post into the voicemail. The limited mailbox forced me to have to leave two messages to get in the full post, but when I got home, there in my inbox, (across two emails) was the full blog post already written out for me. After a round of quick editing, I published it to live.
This was a game changer for me. It gave me the power to blog from anywhere. While the results don’t immediately go to live, the idea is captured, the post is written for me, and I can publish it as soon as I am back online. Thanks reQall.
Give it a try, let me know how this system works for you.
