- The time we have together in precious and finite. Tell those close to you that you care about them.

- “If there is anything I can do…” is a hallow gesture. If you’re capable, smart and close you can think of what you can do to help.
- A eulogy is a final gift to give to the deceased. It shapes their legacy.
- Your job needs no justification to upend your life, they can do so at a whim of a stakeholder. Take care how much of your time and self-worth you are giving away to your employer.
- Find your hobbies again. They fall away when you get older. Find them, or find new ones, have things that are your personal source of joy in your life.
- You are a combination of your relationship with your health, your family, your work and your play (friends, hobbies, etc). Keep them all prioritized.
- Always get your child a new book (provided they finished the last one). There should be the lowest barrier to entry to reading and learning. Same goes for you. Don’t nickel and dime self improvement.
- Creativity isn’t measured by what is produced. It’s a factor of being willing to put yourself out there and try and try and try again until you find a path forward.
- Your path is your own. It’s hard because it’s yours and not blazed by others. Don’t compare yourself to others. They are not on your path.
- Stay vigilant at staying curious. Too much of the world is profiting from you not forming your own ideas.
- The friend that unload to you every time they see you is abusing your good nature by appointing you their unlicensed therapist. Therapist is a type of professional, not a type of friendship.
- The hardest part of investing is doing nothing.
- Traveling abroad builds empathy for other cultures while making once-in-a-lifetime memories.
- Nearly any new skills only takes days to weeks to go from beginner to intermediate. Don’t get hung up on the years still required for mastery. Just get started doing today.
- Everyone needs trusted individuals you can turn to for advise on the really big things. Find those people for you and nurture those relationships.
- Being a good listener is a cross functional skill that makes you more engaged at both home and work.
